Pastor Jeremiah Steepek transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning. He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service. Only 3 people out of the 10,000 members said hello to him

He asked some of the members, for money to buy food. But non gave him any. He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit in the back. He greeted some of the member’s, but their responds was bluff, as they stares at him with dirty looks, while most of the people looked down on him with judgmental glance.

As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements. When all that was done, the elder went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation. “We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek”. The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation. The homeless man sitting in the back stood up and started walking down the aisle The clapping stopped with all eyes fixed on him. He walked up the altar and took the microphone from the elder and paused for a moment then he recited.

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Mathew 25:31-46 “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory, 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

After he recited this, he looked towards the congregation and told them all what he had experienced that morning. Many began to cry and many heads were bowed in shame. He then said, “Today I see a gathering of people, not a member nor church of Christ. The world has enough people, but little disciples. When will you decide to become disciples? He then dismissed service until next week.

Envy And Selfishness In The House Of God.

In the 1960’s and 1980’s, Churches are places you go whenever you needs help, but today churches has turned into a home of competition where people compete with who has the best car and who has the most beautiful wife, who has the highest congregations and who has the biggest church building in the town, and a place of fashion show, forgotten that all will be destroyed after the rapture take place.

Many people are in hell fire today because they failed to help the poor around them, due to selfishness and wickedness In The Church. It’s better to be poor and enter the kingdom of God than to be rich, because if God make you rich, the riches is not for your benefit but for the benefit of the poor, homeless, widows, weak and sick around you. This is what was practice among the early churches, No wonder Jesus ask that man to sell all he has and give the money to the poor, he knew it’s hard for a rich man to make heaven.

Today pride, selfishness, wickedness and hatred has dominated the church of God and Jesus Christ is weeping ever day and night on Christians. Because the Major Law (LOVE) has being eradicated, and only few church will tend to help the needy one with a big show of it, because, before they can help, they will invite many T.V station to come and see what they are giving to the poor. They will put it in news paper to advertised the church, their church are not meant for poor people or wretched people, even when they try to come there, they look down on them and they will feel humiliated and never want to come again.

This also remind me of a sister that testify how the Lord delivered her from the mist of worldly life and evil character. How the Lord broke the yoke of immoralities and evil associates with the kingdoms of darkness. After sharing this testimony, She felt happy, because she had been delivered into the marvelous light of Christ. But lately, she was scorned by a sister, who happen to be in the same church. She abused her that, she was not supposed to be at that church, She is worthless and evil etc.

This newly converted sister felt so much pain and made up her mind to depart from that great ministry, to a place where she can be showered with love and encouragement. This are few examples of what is happening today in the Church of God. I always felt disappointed seeing how some of those that called themselves usher in the Church misbehaved and talked carelessly.

Few weeks ago, i visited a brother. But while we were having spiritual conversation, he made me to understand the reason why he left the previous Church he used to fellowship with. All due to the usher rascal manner and ill character of handling situation. I pleaded with him to go back, because the present Church he had decided to settle down, isn’t a bible believing Church. But all my plea fells in a deaf ear.

Being a Christian is more than something you claim. It’s something you live by and share with others. In the early churches, all the saints were all equal such that that they sold all what they have and bring it to the feet of the apostle so that they can share among themselves so that they can be equal.

Act 2:44-47 “And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved”.

But what are the testimonies today? Many church members are dying of hunger while the rich among them fail to help them. There is no more Equality in the church. The rich will made a pledge of about Thousands and Millions of Naira, while the poor in the same church branch keep suffering—OOH MAY GOD HAVE MERCY.

Selfishness And Wickedness Among Believers

Let me exposed one secrete to you all. In every Church, God has appointed two or three poor and wretched people among them as a test to see if they will help or not. Or do you think I’m lying? Try to observe it in your church. There will be a man or two that always come to the church with just one single cloth, dress in rags, many of them are not truly poor but they are angels sent to every churches, to see if they will love and help them. Have you forgotten the 7 churches in Revelation chapter 2? The angels dress as if they are poor to see if the members will help them,

Some will even be sick that he/she only need #50,000 to cure himself, and you as a member, you are riding jeep worth of 5 million Naira, and earn #500,000 as a monthly salary, but just to give the #50,000 to save his life, you find it difficult. You can’t even allow him to sit by your side. Instead you say he smells, that statement will lead you to hell. And if he died in that sickness and you fail to help him. God will required his blood from your head because you killed him.

In your own church, you discriminate. You have a special parking for the rich and also special sit for them. Beggar are not allow in your church, even illiterate are not allow in the church. Because five words from the bible, 50 words from the dictionary, and you called yourself a Christians?

Every day and night, you preach Holiness and righteousness in your church. In fact your church is known to be the best holiness preaching church in the whole world. But you failed to love and care. You failed to help the needy one. You failed to give. failed to help the poor. You don’t like to be seen with them. You spit when you see people in rag (you will end up in hell if you don’t stop). You judge people with their dressing.

You molest them with your dressing and make them feel God has abandon them. And yet, you want them to repent and surrender to Christ. You may posses the spirit of giving and yet refused give-in. Many times your member has died of hunger, and you said you are going to heaven? I don’t think so, sorry to say that!

You called yourself a pastor, whenever that widow or that poor fellow comes to you, all you tell him/her is God will provide, and you have enough food in your house, huge money in your account and different cars, and houses and you even ride Jets. But for the poor in your church, all you can do is to pray with them and say God will provide. Your bin is filled up with wasted food, while your members are dying of hunger. Your church is the biggest and most beautiful in town, and you call yourself a pastor going to Heaven? I don’t think so.

You give the rich special attention and give the poor less attention. Whenever the rich are absent, you pick the phone to call him if not drive down to his/her house. But whenever the poor is absent, you don’t care about him/her. whenever the rich plan to leave the church, you beg not to leave, but the poor can go to anywhere they like, you don’t care.

You select the cleaning position to the poor, while the rich take the best position in church. Your sermon only favor the rich. Repent today and bring back the Lost love in the church else, Jesus will come and take away your Lamp-hold.

Also, Love the Mad man on the street. They are not animal, but the wicked ones made them so. If you know someone is stinking or poor, and you are in position to help. Please help him/her to stop stinking or begging. You see someone that comes to church with single cloth always, interview him, to see why, and help him out. Jesus is speaking to you again trough this write up, if you have ear, listen to what the spirit is telling the church.
