The Origin Of Wickedness

It was the sin of Adam and Eve that lead to the birth of wickedness in man. Genesis 1:27-31, Genesis 2:16-17, Genesis 3:1-6, 16-18. From below scriptural passages, we can attest the act called wicked, God’s position on wicked people and the eternal judgment for the wicked. Originally, wickedness was not part of the world when God created the world.

Psalm 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Proverbs 11:21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Cain was the first man to commit the sin of murder after God disregarded his offering – Genesis 4:1-8. The question is: ‘’Where did Cain learn this kind of wickedness?’’ You can see that it is inborn after the fall of man, and this wickedness has continued from generation to generation, and will continue till the final day when God will destroy the world.

In fact, at a point when the wickedness of man was increasing, God said that He regretted creating man. Genesis 6:5-8. God’s intention at that time was to flush out everything He had created in the world, but because of the grace that Noah found in the side of God, God then decided to flush out only the wicked ones in that generation, leaving out the righteous ones – Noah and his household.

Genesis 6:11-13, 17-18. After raining thunder and flood upon the wicked ones in the time of Noah, God also used fire and brimstone to destroy the wicked generation in the time of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah – Genesis 19:1-6, 12-14, 24.

Because God is so loving and does not want anyone to perish, He sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, who was without a sin, to come and die; giving Himself as a sacrificial lamb for the sinful man. 2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16. God does not delight in the destruction of any man; yet, man has continued to be unrepentant towards God.

Even while Jesus was on the cross, He was still praying for mercy upon man, desiring that man should turn away from wickedness and live righteous life – Luke 23:24. From what is happening today, the reverse is the case as gross wickedness has become the order of the day.

We now live in a world where there is a common believe that ‘’nobody is righteous.’’ In order words, ‘’Nobody can be righteous.’’ So, people tend to continue in their wrong doings, and when corrected, they will reply by saying: ‘’don’t judge me? Who has made you my judge? If you know you have no sin, cast the first stone.” Note: there is no more sacrifice for ‘Willful sin’ – Hebrews 10:26.

If we continue like this, where are we heading to? Even the bible said in the book of Romans 6:1, 2 that: shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! Mind you, the Almighty God, even the God of heaven and earth, He has not changed.

The bible said in Hebrews 13:8 that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So, what He did before, He will do it again. He was the God of judgment right from the beginning – starting from the time Adam and Eve sinned against Him, He judged them.

When the people in the time of Noah sinned against Him, He judged them. Even when Sodom and Gomorrah sinned against Him, He also judged them. The question is: will God not judge again? Will God not judge sin again? Will God not judge wickedness again?

And God so kind, He always warn the people before His judgment. Abraham wrestled with the angels that came to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah to the extent that not up to 10 people were qualified to avert the danger (Genesis 18:16-33).

God Will Judge The Wicked Again

Today, the wrestling is not limited to one person: everyday, we here about the coming judgment in the churches, in the radio, in the television, and every other means of passing information across to people that God will judge wickedness again.

Perhaps, since you were born, you have not heard about the coming judgment for the wicked or maybe you have been going to church or other religious/houses and nobody has ever told you that judgment day is coming for the wicked; now, here it: ‘’God will destroy wickedness again!’’ this is because on the last day, you cannot give excuse that you didn’t know or that you weren’t told that God will destroy wicked people.

Note: the judgment we are talking about here is not the one that is judged in the High Court, Court of Appeal, or the Supreme Court. The judgment we are talking about is the judgment of God, which is the final judgment: the judgment that has no appeal. Once it is passed, that is final. And the penalty for this judgment to the wicked is HELL FIRE. For the righteous, it is HEAVEN.

Are you doubting whether God will judge wickedness again? Or maybe you are thinking that it is only in the Old Testament, during the law that God judge wickedness, Listen to me! even in the new testament, we have many chapters and verses pointing to the fact the God will judge wickedness again.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Revelations 21:22, Revelations 21:8. God never joke with His words: whatever He says He will do, he will surely do it; especially when the grace is gone. So, if you are into any form of unrighteousness or sin, it is called wickedness because another name for sin is wickedness. The bible said in the book of 1 John 5:17a that: ‘’every unrighteousness is sin. So, if you are into lying; that is wickedness. If you are into stealing; that is wickedness.

You cannot take what belongs to your neighbor and leave the person crying while you are laughing with another person’s property and expect God to be happy with you. Are you into fornication? Oh, that is wickedness.

Are you into stealing, fighting and quarreling?– That is wickedness. Are you into cultism of any kind (whether school, village, market, political cult and whichever satanic cult) – That is wickedness. Are you into fetish practice as a native doctor, witch doctor or you patronize them or into idol of any kind? – That is wickedness.

Are you into charm for any reason – protection, favor, to win lotto and etc.? – That is wickedness. Are you into smoking or drinking of alcohol as a beverage? – That is great wickedness to yourself and to God. Are you into gambling of any kind – whether sports betting or gambling and the rest –That is wickedness.

God has given you hand to work but you prefer the lazy approach of making money. Some make their ends meet without hand, and some, even are born without eye but are making use of their brain and mind to create food for themselves, but many today are just too much in a hurry to make money.

That is why you see both children, youth and the adults now line up gambling centers to know the winning number for the week. Gambling has become their order of the day. Are you a man that like to spend time and money in the beer parlor but when you get home, you begin to tell your wife and children stories of no money for food, no money for school fees? – Repent from that wickedness.

Do you beat your wife and turn her into a punching bag at home; please repent before it is too late. If you are physically gifted in strength, you can channel the strength into something else; maybe sport, but not turning your wife into a punching bag. Do you disrespect your husband and always talk 5 when he talks 1? Repent.

Are you into marrying and divorcing? Repent. Do you dress anyhow and still claim to be a Christian; stop deceiving yourself. Christianity is a total package (both inward and outward). A Christian can never be a seducer and a seducer can never claim to be a Christian. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Perhaps as you are reading this message and are pondering in your heart that you are guilty of these wickedness in one way or the other, and maybe you are thinking that can God still forgive you or what will you do in order not to be judged as a wicked person at the end?

My beloved, God has made provision for all that desire to repent from their wickedness whether as a sinner or as a backslider. The bible says in the book of Isaiah 1:18 that: ‘’if your sin is as dark as scarlet, the He (God) will make it to be whiter than snow.

All you need to do is to come to Him though Jesus Christ. Mind you, through Jesus Christ, not through any other name. Be born-again – John 3:3, 1 John3:8,9 Proverbs 28:13, 1 John5:18. Pray and asked God for mercy in sincerity of heart and believe that He has forgiven you.

Also endeavor to forgive yourself for conscience sake so that Satan will not capitalize on your wrong position of mind to continue dealing with you. Jesus loves you and make sure you guide your salvation so that you don’t lose it.
